Romans 3:22 “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.”

Devotional:

There are days when we feel spiritually strong, and there are days when we feel deeply unworthy. We feel the weight of our mistakes, our inconsistencies, and our flaws. If salvation depended on our performance, then every failure would push us farther from God.

But Paul gives us something incredibly freeing, We are made right with God because of Jesus, not because of us. God doesn’t wait for us to “get better” before offering grace. He doesn’t work on a merit system. He doesn’t save the people who “deserve” it. He saves everyone who believes.

That means the door is open to the broken, the ashamed, the exhausted, the imperfect, and the ones who feel disqualified. Every barrier we think exists, our past, our mistakes, our family background, our reputation. God breaks through them all with one truth; Faith in Jesus Christ. And because there is “no distinction,” no one is too far, too lost, too damaged, or too late. We can stop trying to earn what God has already offered freely. His love is for EVERYONE.

Personal Reflection:

  • How would my daily life change if I fully believed that I’m already made right with God through Christ?
  • Where have I allowed shame, failure, or fear to convince me that I’m disqualified from God’s grace?
  • Is there any place I’ve been relying on my own strength instead of resting in God’s grace?
  • Who do I struggle to believe this verse applies

Prayer:

Father,

Thank You for making a way for me to be right with You through Jesus. Thank You that I don’t have to earn Your love or work for Your grace. Forgive me for the times I try to carry the weight on my own.

Help me believe, deep in my heart, that faith in Jesus is enough. When I feel unworthy, remind me of Your truth. When shame tries to define me, speak Your grace over my soul. Teach me to rest in what Jesus has already done. Let Your love shape how I see myself and how I treat others. Thank You that there is no distinction, no barrier, no past You cannot redeem.

I am Yours, fully and forever, because of Christ.

In Jesus name,

Amen.
